Seneca Short Biography
Lucius Annaeus Seneca, (better known as Seneca The Younger) was born on 4 BC in Cordoba, Hispania and raised in Rome. He was a famous Roman Stoic philosopher, statesman, and playwright.
Seneca was brought by his aunt to Rome where he learned rhetoric, literature, and philosophy at a very young age. After that, he became one of the most influential figures of the Stoic school of philosophy.
In the mid-1st century, he became the greatest Rome’s intelellectual figure, which have him the opportunity to become Nero’s first tutor.
However, when Nero’s reign is about to finish, Seneca commited a suicide because he was accused of taking part in Nero’s assassination by Gaius Calpurnius Piso in AD 65 without any evidence.
