Carl Gustav Jung Short Biography
Carl Gustav Jung was born on 26 July 1875 in Kessel, Switzerland. He was a psychologist, psychiatrist and the founder of analytical psychology.
Carl Jung liked philosophy since he was a teenage and since then he started reading regularly, he continued his studies in medicine in the University of Basel from 1895 to 1900. And in 1902, he took his M.D and graduated from the University of Zurich.
He started working in the Burghölzli Asylum of the University of Zurich, where his mission was to apply association tests on the patients. During World War I, the government recruited Carl Jung as a doctor.
In 1907 Carl Jung met Sigmund Freud and since then they started both having serious contacts.
In 1912, Carl Jung published ‘Psychology of the Unconscious’, which was a book where he gathered all his studies about the transformations and symbolisms of the libido.
